PCWS Supplies "Treat Tubes" to Sanctuaries

In an effort to help those within the sanctuary community while moving forward with our own project, PCWS staff and volunteers have been putting together treat tubes as enrichment items. (Please see a recent discussion regarding this project in Laboratory Primate News). These treat tubes have been supplied to several TAOS accredited sanctuaries, including Mindy's Memory Primate Sanctuary, Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc , and Mostly Monkeys. The yummy tubes contain almonds, unsalted peanuts, dried apricots and pineapple, soy nuts, dates, sunflower seeds, raisins and dried cranberries. Several members of our on-line discussion group have donated empty gift wrap tubes, and Mailboxes Etc of Port Townsend has graciously discounted mailing costs. Please contact us should you care to support the project or know of a sanctuary in need.

All My Relations Spring Concert

PCWS supplied a large stuffed gorilla toy for the All My Relations Spring Concert. Executive Director Hope Walker and PCWS volunteer Tina Witte worked the theater and gathered dozens of signatures for our bushmeat petition.
